SALSC Junior Bowling Championsip - 1st August 2007

 

Once again our young bowlers took part in the Annual Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils Junior bowls event, hosted at Cowal Bowling Club in Dunoon on 1st August.

Ten teams took part this year from Wigtonshire to Moray and Grampian regions. The weather was wet and wild in the early morning and then the Sun Gods took their part in brightening up the day which turned out to be a right cracker. The games were keenly fought with a great deal of sportsmanship and respect between all the bowlers.  

Our junior bowlers finished third overall behind Moray S.C in second and the winners this year were Wigtonshire.

A big Thanks to Gordon, John, Margaret and to Joe for their help in getting the bowlers to Dunoon and for their support during the day. Lastly can we say to the four young bowlers who did North Ayrshire Sports Council proud a big Thanks for their outstanding effort. Picture is our young bowlers at Dunoon
